AIS/B is a Pre-K through 12 coeducational day school located in the heart of South America. AIS/B’s primary language of instruction is English, but ensures that all students of the school are bilingual in English and Spanish. AIS/B is founded on the principal of guiding each of its students to realize his/her own unique potential, while preparing them for the role of their choice on the international stage. To achieve this goal, the school combines rigorous academics, with modern teaching methods, mastery of three languages, small classes, a variety of extracurricular activities in sports and the performing arts, participation in community services projects, and a caring atmosphere that ensures that every student succeeds.
Specific elements of an AIS/B education include Montessori instruction ; Multiple Intelligences instruction throughout; and a third language program that offers the opportunity to study Mandarin from first grade and Dutch, French, German or Mandarin from seventh grade. AIS/B offers the internationally prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) program and all AISB graduates hold both the U.S. and Bolivian National diplomas.

The International Baccalaureate is recognized all over the world as a prestigious academic accomplishment and opens doors internationally. IB graduates are welcomed at universities and colleges all over the world and often find that they have completed most of the work for university general requirements in high school, so that freshman year is a review.
